Visit to Caddo Lake

We visited Caddo Lake and Shreveport this weekend.
Ok, so I'm not a Picasa expert. Therefore the pictures have ended up in 6 different posts, titled Caddo Lake Part 1 through 6. There are 4 pictures to a post.
You can click on any of the pictures to open in a new window. They are pretty high resolution so you can zoom in and check out the details.

The visit was a delight. I won't waste words describing what's already in the pictures. However, the ride back from Shreveport to Caddo Lake at night, is not in the pictures. So try to picture a farm road, lined by tall trees, the musty smell of the swamps/wetlands, the occasional patch of fog, and the star studded sky (despite some clouds left over from storms earlier in the day).

Our cottage was in a small town called Uncertain. Let's hope East Texas remains rural for a long time to come!

P.S. Feel free to check out the picture posts in any order you please.

Town called Uncertain! Wow! Some sense of humor those early settlers of the place had!
