First Week in Southern California.

Primary emotions at this point:-

Shock. That I work in a different office. Frequent different bathrooms. Do different things.

Disbelief at the breathtakingly gorgeous views that are visible outside every window and line every highway, roadway, street.

And dazed. Thanks to a lingering cough, I spent most of the week in a Nyquil induced stupor. A Google search on Friday revealed that Doxylamine Succinate, the anti-histamine in Nyquil, has an exceedingly long half life. Probably the reason why I kept wanting to fall asleep at my desk.

And finally acceptance. Today, I took a walk in the crisp, dry, cool winter air to the Simi Valley Town Center. It is a fantastic shopping mall. They had a "snow shower" in the center court, where they sprayed foam bubbles that looked like snow, except that they didn't really wet you and weren't cold at all. How cool is that! People were there with their babies taking pictures of the "snow" by the Christmas tree. I ate a sandwich while watching the display, and got a cup of hot chocolate for the walk back. Because of the terrain, I had a gorgeous view of the well lit valley below. How can I describe the topography here? That's a project for another day!

Certainly wish I was there to walk along with you! I could have taken a snow pic with the googoobaby!

The power of Nature's beauty is so strong that it leaves us dazed. That's what happened to me in Pachmarhi!

What do you mean by 'disbelief' at the breathtaking view? Feels like heaven, huh?!

Can't wait to take a look at your next 'project'!
