Tenets to live professional life by

(Must re-read every few years)

1. Always be receptive to change. Learn new skills and techniques. Do Not cling on to old ideas, especially once they have been proven outdated.

2. Focus on results. Listen to music or meditate instead of wasting time and energy on aimless tasks.

3. Spend five minutes a day laughing at yourself, your corporation, and the world. Don't take everything so seriously.

4. Do what needs to be done and say what needs to be said if conformity is called for, but remember that you are a free thinker and no one can take your mind away from you. Oppose all proposals for thought monitoring/influencing technologies.

5. Minimum Effort, maximum output. Hard work is highly overrated. Save your strength. You have a long life to live and many things to do. Abhor unnecessary expenditure of energy (Save the Planet).

6. Mobs and Majorities are dangerous. At all costs, avoid the herd mentality.

Thoughtprovoking post Preeti!
Addendum to Tenet # 5 :
Maximum output= Work smart + minimum effort
Variations on either side of the equation is what makes life colourful!! Wishing you valleys of joy in the coming year!!!

This seemed like a snapshot of a page from a modern self-help book. Pleasant change from the determination-perseverance-hard work types.

Sounds tense, as if you are on a tightrope avoiding a fall.
